Es un tema interpretado por el grupo español “Los Bravos”, cuyos autores fueron Michelle Grainger, Tony Hayes y Steve Wadey. “Black is black” comenzó a sonar en 1966, siendo un éxito inmediato en España, donde se vendieron 2 millones de copias, siendo número 1 en “Los 40 principales” durante seis semanas seguidas. Fue el primer éxito internacional de un tema español, aunque fuese interpretado en inglés, ya que alcanzó la segunda posición en Inglaterra y la cuarta en Estados Unidos. Esta es la letra del tema:
